Dominica’s national football team, led by captain Glenson Prince, secured a crucial 0-0 draw against Antigua on Tuesday evening in the Dominican Republic, ensuring their place in League B of the Concacaf Nations League for the next season.

Heading into the match, Dominica sat in third place with three points and faced the pressure of avoiding relegation to League C. Antigua, determined to claim victory, applied relentless pressure from the opening whistle. However, Prince delivered a masterclass in goalkeeping, making critical saves to keep Dominica in the game.

Despite a few scoring opportunities, Dominica couldn’t capitalize, and the teams went into the halftime break deadlocked at 0-0.

In the second half, Antigua intensified its attack, but Dominica’s defensive resilience held firm. The game took a dramatic turn when Prince sustained an injury and had to be stretchered off. Deputy goalkeeper Jerome Burkard stepped in, and with the Dominican defense standing tall, the team managed to thwart Antigua’s offensive threats.

The match ended in a goalless draw, exactly the result Dominica needed to avoid relegation.

Dominica finished third in their group with four points, preserving their place in League B and showcasing their determination and defensive strength.
